Aix-les-Bains has been awarded the France Station Nautique label.
Due to its accessibility, safe environment, professional supervision and excellent boating facilities, Aix-les-Bains/Lake Bourget is the number one lake resort amongst the 36 sites that have been awarded the France Station Nautique label.
Mont Revard
Mont Revard, a vast plateau that rises to an altitude of 1550 m, is the gateway to the Bauges Regional Park. With its mixture of forests and alpine pastures, the area has kept its soul, its traditions, its colourful flora and its exquisite cheeses (tome des Bauges, gruyère des Bauges, tome de chèvre, etc.).
Le plateau du Revard
Criss-crossed by way-marked paths open to hikers and mountain-bikers, Mont Revard is also France’s oldest winter sports resort. Summer and winter alike, it is a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. The climb to Mont Revard can be done by bicycle, by car or on foot, but the most exciting way to descend from this renowned hang-gliding and paragliding centre is by air!
Mont Revard in winter
More than 100 km of groomed cross-country ski trails (skating and classic) link the resorts of Le Revard, La Féclaz and Saint-François.
For hikers, 60 km of snow-shoeing trails have been signposted and there is also a dog-sled track.
Downhill skiers can enjoy 50 km of runs, served by 13 ski lifts.
